Use your tablet as a pen for your computer
An online whiteboard where you draw on your tablet or phone and see it instantly on your computer. Nothing to install, no account to create.
DrawFree · No sign-up · End-to-end encrypted
How it works
- Open the whiteboard on your computer, press Share and turn on Allow new devices to connect.
- Show the QR code and scan it with your tablet or phone, or open the link on another device. Once everyone is in, you can close the whiteboard to new devices again.
- Draw. Every stroke shows up on all connected devices while you draw it, not when you finish.
Built for drawing by hand
Real time
Strokes are streamed point by point while you draw. Speed is the top design priority.
Pressure-sensitive
With a compatible pen, the stroke gets thicker the harder you press. A uniform stroke is available too.
No sign-up, no install
Open the page and start. No accounts, no passwords, no apps to download.
Private
Everything is encrypted between your devices. The server only relays data it cannot read and stores nothing.
E-ink ready
High-contrast interface, no animations and as few screen redraws as possible.
Palm rejection
While you use the pen, resting your hand doesn't draw: fingers only pan and zoom.
Stroke or pixel eraser
Erase whole strokes in one pass or just the part you touch. And undo any change.
You decide who joins
Nobody joins until you allow it. From your computer you see the connected devices and can disconnect anyone.
What it's for
- Lessons and video calls: share your computer screen and write on the tablet like on a real whiteboard.
- Explaining an idea: a quick sketch beats a paragraph.
- Handwritten notes with the comfort of seeing them on the big screen.
- Streams and tutorials: draw on the fly without a graphics tablet.
FAQ
Do I need to install anything or create an account?
No. The whiteboard runs in the browser on any device, and there is no sign-up or login.
Can I see what I draw on my tablet on my computer?
Yes. Open the whiteboard on your computer, press Share, allow new devices to connect and scan the QR code with your tablet. Whatever you draw shows up on the computer as you draw it.
Is it private?
Yes. The whiteboard travels end-to-end encrypted between your devices. The key is in the link and never reaches the server, which only relays data it cannot read and stores nothing.
Does it work with e-ink tablets?
It is designed for them: a high-contrast interface, no animations and pen-pressure-sensitive strokes.
How many devices can I connect?
Up to eight at a time on the same whiteboard.
Is the whiteboard saved?
It is not stored on any server or kept in your browser: it starts empty every time you open it. If you reload the page, you get it back as long as you don't close the tab. To keep it, use File → Save: it downloads to your device and you can open it later with File → Open.
